Keith and Joan ran a tyre business in Stawell for a number of years . Keith was a justice of the Peace, Deputy Coroner and was awarded the MBE for services to Stawell. He was also a member of Stawell City Council for nearly 37 years and held the position of Mayor three times. Keith was still in Council at the time of his death at Stawell on the 1st June 1985. Keith is buried at Stawell.

Joan died in Stawell on the 3st July 1993 and is buried in Stawell.
