- Thomas Hollingsworth b03.03.1814 (one of three children to William and Catherine who married March 15th 1808 at Cheshunt in Hertfordshire England.
Thomas married Jane Miles 20.03.1840 at St John’s Church Newton Hobart.
Thomas and Jane Miles and their family departed from Launceston on the 16.10.1851 on board the ‘Shamrock” to Port Phillip ten travelled to the Bendigo goldfields and settled in White Hills. Thomas rented and worked on a farm of 20 acres at Sandy creek. He was also a cab provider at one stage. Thomas died from injuries received after falling down an abandoned mineshaft in March 1876 at age 59. Morgan James, Jane’s step brother was with them at the time of the accident).
Jane Miles-Jane was transported to Hobart for stealing from the person. Jane was convicted at Glamorganshire Assize 25/2/1841. She arrived in Hobart on board "Garland Grove 10/10/1841. Jane was born about 1814 at Martyn Tydfil Glamorganshire in Wales and died 19th March 1886 age 68. Buried at White Hills. Jane's father was a collier. her mother maiden name unknown.
Thomas Hollingsworth and a William Lambert both farm labourers at Chesthunt England were both tried at QS 14.10.1833 for "stealing fowls". They were transported to Van Diemen's land for 7 years. Thomas arrived in Hobart 11.08.1834 at the age of 20 years aboard the "John Barry" at the age of 20.
Thomas and jane and their family departed Launceston 16/10/1851 on board the Shamrock to travel to port Phillip and then travelled to the gold fields and settled in White Hills ( now a suof bendigo).They rented and worked on a farm of 20 acres at Sandy Creek and was also a cab provider at one time. When he was injured in 1876, Jane's step brother Morgan James was with them.

Thomas and jane and children John, William Henry and Emma departed Launceston on October 16th 1851 on board the Shamrock to Port Phillip and then travelled to the Bendigo goldfields settling in White hills. Thomas rented and worked a 20-acre farm at Sandy creek. His death unfortunate. He dies in March 1876 at the age of 59 as a result of injuries falling down a mine shaft. Jane dies March 19th, 1882 aged 68 and both buried at White hills.
