Married 1870 Notes - James Troy came to Australia from Ireland in 1852 by the ship "Lady Elgin" landed at Melbourne and engaged in pastoral pursuits at Colac acquiring land and dairying and mixed farming.
In 1880 he settled in Kerang on land selected by him two years previously , to which he bought his wife and family of 6 children by tilted waggon from Colac. James died in 1884 leaving aa widow and 8 children. Mrs (mn Commerford) Troy continued to farm the land with the assistance of his brother Cornelius Troy and a James Hickey setting up the Murrabit & Benjernoop Water trust irrigation.

Family Hanna Power Married 1923 Greymont, New Zealand - James Anthony Troy of "Wesford" kerang born in Beac in 1875.His father James Troy dies i 1884 leaving his widow and 8 children., the youngest a year ld and the eldest 14. She carried on with the assistance of Cornelius Troy and a James Hickey with the pastoral pursuits and started a irrigation scheme. Mrs Troy passed away in 1914. And James troy joined his mother on the farm compromising of 320 acres of agriculture land and 50 acres of lucerne.Jmes became a member of the local Kerang Council in 1916 and served for 6 years.
He married in 1923 Miss Hanna Power of Greymont, New Zealand and there is a family of one son James and a daughter Patricia.
