    • Grace (Mn Vinson) was the daughter of Joseph VINSON and Elizabeth ASHTON Was baptised at Stabbury Morwenstow, Cornwell, May 16 1796.

      Grace and William Walter married in St James Church, Kilkhampton, Cornwell January 30, 1817. Their family emigrated to Australia on the sailing bark "George Marshall" (136 tons) on the 23rd December 1854, point of Origin from Plymouth Devon and arrived in Australia Port Phillip Australia on the 09.04.1855.

      Emma Walter was their 6th child born (1829-1916 ) in North Blatchborough UK.Emma married Thomas Bromell b 23 Feb 1834-d, October 9, 1887 at 53 years of age, in Bradbury Devon England, January 8, 1852.

      They had 10 children and the second was Tryphena Elizabeth B. 1856.

      The death of Emma Bromell pre-deceased her husband Hon Thomas Bromell MLC who as stated passed away in 1887.

      Mrs Bromell was active up to the last few months of her life and passed away at her residence “Edgecombe “ Milton St Hamilton. They stayed a short time in Geelong and then to Ballarat in the gold rush days. During this short time of a year in Ballarat in the gold days all commodities were at boom prices, with flour selling at twenty pound a ag and butter imported from Cork six/a pound. From there they went to Avoca foreseeing the approach of trouble which culminated in the Eureka riot. They returned to Geelong where they had a farm in the Boorabil Hills .

      In 1860 Emma and Thomas came to Hamilton and purchased a small property of 400 acres part of the Grange Estate. In 1862 he purchased his late Estate Hensleigh Park station of 14,000 acres with no improvements or cultivation.he had at the time of his death,600 acres of English grass and 250 acres of cultivation- a comfortable dwelling house of 17 rooms, wool shed and about 18,000 sheep, 300 head of cattle, 100 horses and 6- to 70 Timor ponies depasturing on the property. *

      -Tryphena Elizabeth Bromell b. 1856-d 04.10.1916 was the third daughter of Thomas and Emma Walter.

      Tryphena married Frank Hallam in 1917 and they had children

      -Edith Kathleen b.ca 1892 d.d.1974 Portland
